18 Amazing Hamburger Recipes Ready to Make Your Mouth Water (2024)

There are very few recipes that I consider to be year-round favorites. It seems weird to eat a strawberry in October or a pumpkin in April; however, a bite of a hamburger or a small taste of S’mores over an open fire makes for a perfect main dish or dessert anytime – the sides just vary at this point.

While we are not talking about that sweet fired treat in this post, we are going to draw our attention to the burger that gets us through the lazy days of summer and the quick dinners in the winter. Here is a list of some of my favorite- from the odd to the “oh yeah, I forgot how much I like that one!”

Amazing Hamburger Recipes

1. Copycat Big Mac Recipe

18 Amazing Hamburger Recipes Ready to Make Your Mouth Water (2)

This should be a no-brainer, though I prefer mine with just one patty and no middle bun.

I was a bit surprised to find out that the big mac sauce has thousand island dressing in their sauce. No matter, it makes for a delectable sauce.

I made this a year ago and did a comparison on the nutrients, not surprisingly we found this to be a better bet. When you’re craving this treat, head for the kitchen and not for the double arches.

If you need the recipe, it can be found here.

2. Cowboy Burger

18 Amazing Hamburger Recipes Ready to Make Your Mouth Water (3)

Jennifer over at The Jenny Evolution came up with this recipe that does all the things most men love, like combine mayonnaise with BBQ sauce and make onion straws to go on top of the gooey cheese. The Kaiser roll adds to the deliciousness of the recipe as well. She made this recipe for the fourth of July but I think this would be a great recipe any time of the year.

3. BLT Ranch Burger

18 Amazing Hamburger Recipes Ready to Make Your Mouth Water (4)

Lisa over at Wine and Gluegot creative to make her BLT Ranch burger. I am absolutely in love with the pretzel bun and bacon goes well on just about anything, especially a bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich. Add in the ranch to the burger and you have a winner in my eyes.

My family’s eyes too!

4. Copycat In N Out Burger

18 Amazing Hamburger Recipes Ready to Make Your Mouth Water (5)

Have you ever had an In N Out Burger? This burger joint is popular in the west, originating from California and slowly making its way east. There are quite a few in the Texas triangle (the Texas triangle is a triangle that hosts Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas. This triangle consists of Texas largest cities and seventy-five percent of the state’s population).

If you don’t have an In N Out Burger it is okay, you don’t have to hop on a plane and head to Dallas or California to get your burger on. Instead head over toLife in the Lofthouse where Holly does a great job recreating the burger joints’ simple yet eternally soul-satisfying course.

Though if you want to come to Dallas, I’d love to have you!

5. Bacon-Wrapped Pineapple Burger

18 Amazing Hamburger Recipes Ready to Make Your Mouth Water (6)

Tip Hero took me back to my late high school and early college days when I worked at Backyard Burger. This burger place was the one that put Angus burgers on the map, starting with 100% pure Angus burgers. My first store was where I met my husband.

The burger they had was dipped in an Asian style sauce similar to soy sauce and topped with pineapple, lettuce and mayonaise. I ate it quite often and would easily make this on a night when I wanted to recreate the early memories of my relationship with my main man.

6. Bacon Cheddar Stuffed Burgers

18 Amazing Hamburger Recipes Ready to Make Your Mouth Water (7)

These bacon cheddar stuffed burgers looked too good not to share. The fact that the bacon and cheese are stuffed in the middle of this burger makes for a pretty presentation. By not having the cheese means the ingredients shine more brightly, while on the inside when you bite into it you get the gooeyness of the cheese and the delicious crunch of the bacon.

Grilling 24×7 did a great job making a burger that any man- or woman- with a spicy taste would love.

7. Brown Sugar Bourbon Cheese Burger

18 Amazing Hamburger Recipes Ready to Make Your Mouth Water (8)

McCormick came up with this delicious Brown Sugar Bourbon recipe and I had to add it because doesn’t bourbon and burgers go well together? The brown sugar added to it might make a person question its sweetness but I think the alcohol will combat the sweetness making for a delicious burger to bite into.

8. Coffee Rubbed Burger

18 Amazing Hamburger Recipes Ready to Make Your Mouth Water (9)

Amanda at The Chunky Chef came up with this delicious burger that I cannot wait to try. Coffee is my go-to drink for every event. Adding it to a recipe sounds absolutely delicious. Even crazier? She adds another drink in with this burger- a Dr. Pepper!

The Dr.Pepper goes in the ooegy-gooey barbeque sauce you see here. And the beautiful bun, the bacon and all the extras? This is a burger that has already sold me! When can we eat?

9.Mushroom Burger with Provolone, Caramelized Onions and Aioli

18 Amazing Hamburger Recipes Ready to Make Your Mouth Water (10)

Be sure to check out this delectable recipe over at Go Go Gourmet. Mushroom swiss burgers are something I first heard about in high school (again, during the Angus/ Backyard Burger days) but she takes it above and beyond with the aioli sauce.

If you have never heard of aioli sauce, it is a garlicky mayonaise. Add that to a burger filled with cheese, mushrooms, and grilled onions and my mouth is already watering. I know yours probably are too!

Also, if you’re having a bad day, be sure to read her post… it shows you that sometimes its best to just walk away and try again another day.

10. Asian Burger

18 Amazing Hamburger Recipes Ready to Make Your Mouth Water (11)

Another recipe with a garlicy mayonaise but this one has different flavors beyond that. For one thing, the bun is very different. She also adds hoisin ketcup and slaw.

Now, I lived in Tennessee for several years and I am perfectly okay with coleslaw on my pulled pork but I have never had it on a burger. She adds that the burger is very moist and flavorful. I am sure of the second and am willing to give the burger a try because, why not?

Be sure to check out Jennifer’s recipe over at Carl’s Bad Cravings.

11. Patty Melt

18 Amazing Hamburger Recipes Ready to Make Your Mouth Water (12)

You know a recipe is good when you say, “Hey guys, we should make this recipe tonight”. And that is exactly what I just did. Tonight my family and I are having a patty melt.

Patty melts are an American classic however, there are things that many of us struggle with when making them. The author of this recipe gives some great pointers, like using a ziplock to flatten out the burger patty before you cook it (since it gets smaller as you cook it).

Check out this recipe and all the awesome tips made by the Fox Valley Foodie and be sure to read up on some more of his delicious recipes!

12. Taco Burger

Tacos are something you can really do up in so many different ways. You can make walking tacos, taco pizza and even taco burgers.

Naturally, he seasons the burger meat with taco seasoning. That alone could make a burger a taco burger in my opinion. He gives you the option of purchasing a store bought seasoning or he gives you a link to making your own. Useful if you want to make it now and don’t have taco seasoning in the cabinet. Many of the spices you will probably already have at home.

He also gives a list of optional toppings. Pico de gallo and cilantro are my favorite for this one. Yummy!

Kyle sure does love his burgers! He even titled his blog off of it, so be sure to check outTaco Burgers and stay for anything else delicious you find.

13. Jamaican Burger

18 Amazing Hamburger Recipes Ready to Make Your Mouth Water (14)

I love, love, love the fact that this blogger chose to use local, grass-fed beef. She also adds a lot of the spice and seasoning to the burger meat itself, choosing to use the jerk seasoning to make her burger.

What takes it over the top though is the sweetness that she adds to the spice. She adds a pineapple- jalapeno sauce and tops it with red peppers and sweet mangos. She makes sure to point out that if you don’t want the spice from the jalapenos you should de-seed them before you add them to the blender.

14. Guinness Burger with Irish Cheddar and Bacon

18 Amazing Hamburger Recipes Ready to Make Your Mouth Water (15)

I’ve never thought about eating a burger for breakfast but this baby comes with bacon and is topped with an English muffin instead of a bacon, so why not?

Even better if it is for brunch on a Saturday or Sunday because it adds in a bit of beer flavor into it and the Irish cheddar. In addition, the author throws in garlic, onions, and dijon mustard. Delicious.

There are some fabulous tips added to the recipe so you know exactly the best way to make it.Be sure to check out the delicious Guinness Burger for a detailed description of how to make this delicious burger.

15. Philly Cheese Steak Sloppy Joes

18 Amazing Hamburger Recipes Ready to Make Your Mouth Water (16)

Not a held together burger but Amy at Belly Full did such a great job with this that I had to add it to the list. Neither of my girls like sloppy joes so this would be a recipe that I would have to make for my husband and myself, either for lunch or maybe a special date at home. He absolutely loves Philly Cheese steaks but we often opt for a different form of meat. I feel like adding this to our repertoire would really bring out the kid in him.

In addition, Amy felt this was a great recipe because she actually ate the peppers and enjoyed them. Have a picky eater? This might be a recipe to add veggies into their diet!

16. Paleo Burger with Caramelized Onions

18 Amazing Hamburger Recipes Ready to Make Your Mouth Water (17)

I’m sorry, did someone say avocados? Consider me sold. Also, to be honest, I am okay with this burger not having any buns on them. Add a fork and I’m hapy with that. Plus, her side is brussel sprouts? Um, yum!

Her onions are off colored because she added basalmic vinegar to them. This gives it a tang that is absolutely delicious. One of my favorite recipes is a basalmic chicken with sauteed spinach. The vinegar takes it over the edge and I am pretty certain it would do the same thing for this burger.

Her burger portion of the recipe is fairly simple: salt, pepper, and garlic. It’s the toppings that make this recipe.

17. Rodeo Burgers

18 Amazing Hamburger Recipes Ready to Make Your Mouth Water (18)

Center Cut Cook did such a good job recreating Burger King’s Rodeo Burgers. I, personally, think they are better than the fast food restaurant’s ones. Granted, in my opinion, that is not hard. What makes this even better though is that it probably costs about the same for us to make it as it does for Burger King to. Except that we don’t pay employees or anything like that.

Plus, if you make the onion rings from scratch, you can choose if you want them thick cut, like he did or opt for a thinnier onion like I would. Plus, she adds that she is not super picky about the barbeque sauce which is nice. My only suggestion is don’t reach for the Sweet Baby Rays, it has High Fructose Corn Syrup in it- yuck!

18. Jalapeno Cheddar Sliders

18 Amazing Hamburger Recipes Ready to Make Your Mouth Water (19)

Lyuba over at Will Cook for Smiles did a great job with this recipe that is sure to please anyone who likes a little spice with their food. Similar to other ones, this adds a little bit sweet and spicy because the slider buns are made with Hawaiian Rolls, a most delicious favorite of my family and friends.

Adding the cheese and the jalapenos into the burger means that other than dressing, no other topping is needed! What a way to send us off!

Conclusion

Burger fans unite! I am so glad that these bloggers have given us some great recipes to check out and I look forward to reading about your favorite burger recipe as well.
